Beyond the gallery

Enter the places where ideas take shape

This half-day journey takes you into the working spaces of three Lisbon-based artists and creatives. These are personal, lived-in places—full of materials, experiments and works in progress.

More than an introduction to the city’s art scene, each visit is a chance to meet the person behind the work and understand the path from first idea to finished piece.

Three creative perspectives

Different journeys. Distinct ways of seeing.

Coming from different generations, nationalities and creative backgrounds, each host brings a distinct perspective—shaped by their personal journey, artistic practice and sources of inspiration.

Conversation is at the heart of the experience: unhurried, informal and open to the questions that naturally emerge as you encounter each space and process.

Every tour opens different doors

From ceramics to contemporary design

You might enter a ceramic studio, discover an atelier dedicated to embroidery or tufting, visit the workshop of the former King’s jewellers, or meet designers transforming discarded materials into new objects.

The combination varies with the artists’ availability. Tell us about a particular craft or discipline that interests you and we’ll do our best to weave it into the experience—while directly supporting the independent makers we visit.
